Omega MM900HDS Juice
Omega MM900HDS Juice

Dear readers, today’s task is particular because an exciting and exciting device is waiting for our test. The Omega MM900HDS is known as a specialist in celery juice.

Juicing celery yourself is trendy – today, you can read all about this in the Omega MM900HDS review, whether the Omega juicer is an expert in this area or whether the marketing department has just positioned it particularly cleverly.

The Omega MM900HDS is a slow juicer, i.e., a masticating juicer. The deliberately slow processing of the pressed material positively affects the processing quality.

In particular, less heat and oxidation should ensure a higher nutrient and vital substance content in the juice.

Slow juicers, sometimes called cold press juicers, crush the fruit and vegetables instead of smashing and cutting them up, as in centrifugal juicers.

Unboxing and Assembly of the Omega MM900HDS

The Omega Juicers juicer comes in a compact box containing:

  • Engine block
  • Juicing housing
  • Filling funnel
  • Press screw
  • Two sealing caps, one in the standard version and one especially for celery juice with a unique (green) seal
  • Sieve
  • Plastic juice receptacle
  • Pomace collecting container made of plastic tamper/tamper
  • Cleaning brush
  • Multilingual instruction manual

The user manual is available here: Omega MM900HDS Manual

The MM900HDS low-speed masticating celery juicer assembly is straightforward, quick, and intuitive. A lot of force is unnecessary; you must consult the operating instructions and assembly aid.

Of course, that doesn’t do any harm, especially since the instructions for commissioning are apparent:

Well done: The intuitive and straightforward assembly works even without instructions

The parts can be put into each other intuitively. Plastic elements, e.g., on the sieve, are partially perforated and thus easily fit into each other.

So nothing stands in the way of quick use, and of course, this also helps with regular cleaning, and you can clean all the parts individually.

How to Use the Omega MM900HDS

Once set up, you can turn on the juicer with the switch on the back of the device. You can use reverse gear with the same control (via button).

This is useful to transport pulp and pulp residues in the screw back up or back in case of a “jam.”You must put the ingredients correctly to avoid a jam in the scary. With some experience, you can quickly get the hang of it.

The filling opening is sufficiently large at 4cm. At least rough pre-cutting is necessary and generally applicable to increase the processing quality in the press.

A unique selling point of Omega Juicers is the attachment, especially for celery juice (with a green seal). A critical component is the pomace control at the top of the juicer. There are two attachments, each of which can be screwed onto the pomace outlet.

Ultimately, you can use the attachments to control the pressure applied to the screw and the screen. The green extension is for fibrous ingredients, herbs, leafy greens, and celery.

Here I have had the best experiences with an almost entirely closed screwregardingf the processing quality and the juice yield. It depends on the ingredients’ consistency and attachment in which setting is the best choice.

Omega MM900HDS Review & Test

Omega MM900HDS Carrot Processing

Of course, I was curious about the results when juicing celery in the practical test; after all, the flagship of the MM 900 HDS. Equipped with the special pomace regulation for everything herbaceous and celery, it worked, and I was not disappointed. The result for celery was remarkable. No other juicer in this price range has such a juice yield. Even better results can only be expected from significantly more expensive juicers like the Super Angel Juicer.

Filling the Omega juicer is easy to do. It makes sense to pre-cut the perennials and generally alternates more complex pieces with leaves, the herbaceous upper part of the perennial, and other ingredients such as carrots and apples.

The freshly squeezed celery juice was smooth, had hardly any residue, and tasted total – a perfect result.

Even with tough vegetables, the juicer showed no nakedness and processed everything I put into it.

However, once the cap to regulate the Marco loosened itself, a turn of the thread would probably have been helpful. Ultimately, the right attitude is essential, and you quickly get a feel for it.

With the pomace, you notice the unique features of the juicing technology, which represents a real added value compared to centrifugal juicers. The pomace, i.e., the juicing residues, is very dry – the juice is where it belongs, namely in the juice collecting container. The effectiveness is very high.

The result was not ideal only with very soft fruit and vegetables such as cucumbers because a large amount of pulp remained in the screw.

The reverse gear and the tamper help to achieve a better result. In addition, you can alternate between adding hard material to these ingredients, which further improves the juicing process.

When removing the juice container, ensure that at least one drop falls on your kitchen shelf. A valve and a cap would have been excellent here. But this is not a fundamental defect, and handling is generally straightforward.

How To Clean the Omega MM900HDS Juicer?

When it comes to cleaning, this device benefits because it is easy to assemble and dismantle. It is easy to separate parts, and cleaning them individually under warm running water is easy.

This optimal cleaning procedure should be carried out after every juicing session. A kitchen brush helps for some parts,s and the sieve – as with any juicer – usually needs the most attention.

When cleaning any juicer, the filter usually requires the utmost attention.

The cleaning brush included with the Omega MM900 helps immensely when cleaning the screen. You can quickly get from inside and outside to the places where the pulp and fibers are stubbornly stuck.

I also find my bottle brush with plastic lamellas ideal – when inserted from the inside, the pressed material is pressed through the sieve, which can then be easily brushed off.

Generally, a container with warm water and a little washing-up liquid help with the cleaning so that all parts can be soaked quickly. This is particularly helpful with the pressing screw. Even if many pulps are ejected, residues will remain on the screw.

Conclusion: Cleaning a juicer is never fun, but of course, it is necessary for the regular enjoyment of fresh juice.

I am therefore pleased that cleaning the MM900 is simple and easy. Quick cleaning is quick and easy, and all parts and locations are easy to reach for intensive cleaning.

Cleaning the OmegaMM900HDS Juicer

It’s certainly a selling point, and we often ask about it. Of course, putting the dirty parts of the juicer in the dishwasher is helpful.

Although cleaning in the upper drawer is recommended, this is possible with the MM900HDS low-speed masticating celery juicer. From my point of view, nothing speaks against subjecting the parts to such a cleaning procedure now and then.

In general, however, I advise against a juicing cycle in the dishwasher. The chemicals use,d, and the higher temperatures are too harsh for the materials. That is why I recommend quick but gentle cleaning by hand.

Final Thoughts

The MM900 shows its strengths with celery and all medium-soft, fiber, and juice-rich ingredients.

The 80 revolutions per minute ensure gentle but fast processing. The results are first-class in this price range. The device is quick to set up and ready for use, which is a real advantage and added value, especially when cleaning.

Overall, the device is an asset for everyone who focuses on fresh juices, especially celery juice. Using the MM900 is fun in everyday practice.

My name is Jack, and I love Juicing. Juice cleansing has been a part of my life since I was 14 years old. When I started, it helped me with everything from detoxing to gaining weight in the right places, but now that it's an everyday routine for me, juice cleanse have become more about how they make me feel while doing them than any other benefit or result. The most remarkable thing about juicing? You can get so many different flavors! My favorite ones are carrot-apple-ginger and apple-spinach because they taste delicious too!
